I enjoy doing watercolor portraits the most.  People say that you should paint everyday, so that is 
what I am trying to do.  I use Arches 140 lb. or 300 lb. and find that any paint that I use seems
to work.  Sometimes you just want a particular color; not black, but a violet or purple or dark blue is 
better in the portrait.   Getting the drawing to look like the person is most important.

Both portraits are done in graphite on Bristol smooth paper.
