New doll, Lucky, a 16" doll, whose pattern and instructions will be in Soft Dolls & Animals magazine soon.

New Watercolor painting as well, still favor portraits as I continue to learn.  Do need more practice

on doing backgrounds.  Will start to do graphite drawing again as well.

I use DVD's alot to learn new watercolor painting techniques; however, I learn a little from each DVD and try to use the information in a new watercolor painting.

Do any of you have a favorite painter that you could share?

I enjoy doing watercolor portraits the most.  People say that you should paint everyday, so that is 

what I am trying to do.  I use Arches 140 lb. or 300 lb. and find that any paint that I use seems

to work.  Sometimes you just want a particular color; not black, but a violet or purple or dark blue is 

better in the portrait.   Getting the drawing to look like the person is most important.  

I will also include some recent drawings for your perusal.  Please feel free to comment.

Both portraits are done in graphite on Bristol smooth paper.
